Bespoke is the second lane, and there Alitex works like Hartley: a sales designer visits your site, and the price follows the design. No published figures exist for bespoke builds, so treat the Ickworth's £55,600 as the last public number before the quote takes over.

## Why the numbers you have seen don't match

Search for Alitex prices and you will find figures spanning more than double. They are all real. They are just from different years and different markets, and no page bothers to say so.

- **£11,250 for the Hidcote** comes from a well-known 2018 comparison by The Enduring Gardener. It was accurate then, and it excluded installation of the base. Today the same model lists at £19,500, which is a rise of about 73 percent in eight years.
- **£15,950 for the Mottisfont** was Real Homes' reported starting figure in 2020. Gardens Illustrated quoted £25,689 for it in June 2024. Today it lists at £27,800. That is roughly 74 percent above the 2020 figure.
- **From £19,500 for the Tatton** was Alitex's own answer on its Houzz profile, in an undated reply from the late 2010s. Today the Tatton is £36,800, and £19,500 buys the smallest model in the range instead.
- **$60,000** is not a contradiction of any of those. It is the current US floor.

The lesson is the one we apply across this site: a greenhouse price without a date attached is not information. If you are budgeting from an article or a forum thread, check when it was written, then assume today's number is meaningfully higher.

## US pricing: the Kew Collection

Alitex sells a different range in the US, the Kew Collection, through Alitex U.S. LLC in Providence, Rhode Island, with the structures still engineered and made in Hampshire, England. The published US position, live in 2026: prices start from $60,000, and the entry Capel model (8'5" x 10'1", the same footprint as the UK Hidcote) is listed at $61,500 including delivery and installation in 19 listed states, most of the East Coast plus WA, OR, and CA. Outside those states, the install is quoted separately.

The same-size greenhouse is materially more expensive in the US than in the UK. Alitex does not publish a line-by-line explanation for the gap, so do not treat currency conversion as the comparison. The US number is a delivered-and-installed import price for a structure made in England and sold through a separate US operation. ## What the price includes, and what lands on top

Alitex's published prices are unusually complete, which matters when you compare quotes. Included in the UK list price: the structure, VAT, delivery, and installation by Alitex's own team within mainland England and Wales. Included in the US Capel price: delivery and installation in the 19 listed states. Automatic roof vents are standard across the range, not an upcharge.

What is not included is the part that catches buyers:

- **The brick base or dwarf wall.** Alitex's own disclaimer says it plainly: the brick base is not included, because it is tailored to your site. Alitex offers a building-works service within about 100 miles of its Hampshire HQ, or you hire your own builder to their drawings. Get the base quote before you sign, not after.
- **Benching and accessories.** Priced separately and openly: greenhouse benching at £860 per linear metre, external shades from £1,880, a greenhouse heater at £380. ## The lifetime guarantee, read carefully

Alitex backs the aluminium frame with what it calls a lifetime guarantee, and the definition is printed: 25 years or the lifetime of the purchaser, whichever is longer. The paint finish carries 10 years, conditional on washing the structure once a year and sealing any paint chips within three months. Doors and bonded glazing bars carry five years. The FAQ gives Bayliss vent openers two years, while the guarantee page groups vent openers with one-year accessories, so confirm that term in the contract.

Two things to read twice. First, all of these guarantees are personal and non-transferable, in Alitex's own words.
